Day Eight – A Letter to Someone Who Has Changed Your Life

Dear Dad and Mom,

I love you both so much.  Not just because you are good-looking and you gave me sparkling blue eyes, but because you have taught me in the ways of the Lord.  You’ve always, always, ALWAYS pointed me in the direction of Christ.  I’m so thankful that you didn’t hesitate to train me up in the way I should go.  I wouldn’t be who I am today if you hadn’t begun teaching me wisdom from a very young age. I am forever grateful.

There are few girls who are as lucky…or should I say blessed, as I am to have such awesome parents. And like I said, it’s not just the blue eyes, for you have taught me that my true sparkle is on the inside.

~Your loving daughter,
Mamie Rose Carlstrom

“Children’s children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children.” – Proverbs 17:6

“Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
