If this song doesn’t give you chills, I don’t know what will.
Let me begin with an apology for my absence in the Blog world this week. My dear faithful Jarvis (aka my computer) is a bit sick at the moment. He should be up an running again by this weekend though, and I have a couple good posts I’ve been working on either in drafts or in my head. Stay tuned. 🙂 (This post was blogged from my iPhone.)
Anthem Lights tells a powerful message in this song and the story behind it. (Please watch both, not just the song!) I got chills when I listened to them proclaim what I have believed for my entire life, that saving your sexual purity for marriage is a beautiful thing.
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it’ll all be clear
Don’t pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
Sort of my motto for 2013 and the rest of life.
“I feel alive, I come alive
I am alive on God’s great dance floor.”
I received an iTunes gift card for Christmas, and with it I purchased Brandon Heath’s latest album Blue Mountain. We have been big fans of B.H. ever since meeting him at a concert where we heard “Give Me Your Eyes” for the first time. So far we’ve bought each and every of his records. However, I wasn’t really able to “get into” his previous one, so I was a bit skeptical about buying the newest one.
I had no need to worry.
It is wonderful. B.H. is going for a new sound, and i think it works quite well for him.
For your listening enjoyment I have posted the first song from the record, entitled “The Harvester.”
This is a very creative version of “The First Noel.” Enjoy!
